stuff

The last little bit has been a mixture of calm and chaos. I will attempt to catch up as much as I can. First off, we traded beds with our friends. We had two toddler beds, and they had this bunkbed from IKEA. Their kids (ages 3.5 & 1) were climbing up and jumping off, and that was terrifying. Their kids are much more daring than mine. We all thought this would be a better situation, and at least for us, it has been!

It makes an AWESOME cave too! (Although they're trying to turn it into a "Boys Only" Club... They even have a secret password!) As you can see, this bed is pretty much perfect though. The top bed is not too high off the ground--probably about 5 feet high, and the bottom bunk is right on the ground. It's also a reversible bed, so you can flip it over and have a single bed with the canopy on top. It rocks!
Moving on. For those of you who don't know, I got "assigned" to Waf's family reunion committee. I've never even been to a tongan family reunion, so this has been quite the experience. His sister Lee (president) has done pretty much all of the work, so I can't really complain. However, I had this grand idea to try to make a photo album going as far back as we can (hoping to eventually be able to do the Temple work). Long story short, it's not working out how I invisioned. So this past weekend, Waf went to UT to try to get pictures for me (The reunion is the 2nd week in July, and I only had a few pictures). I love this one of Grandma Ilaisa'ane!

It was a really tough while Waf was gone though. He was gone from Friday to Tuesday morning, and it was aweful! I swear the boys know when he's gone for more than work/meetings. They woke up pretty much every two hours the first night. They had screaming matches. They didn't do anything I asked them too. Etc. It was really nice to have him home again.

Leki is kind of at a funny stage. The last post showed him in sunglasses. This time it's my shoes. He's been so interested in everyones shoes lately! He likes the different sounds they make (like flip-flops, high heels, cowboy boots, etc). It always amuses me to see him wandering around in my shoes.

This one is for you Chad. We were at the park the other day with some friends, and a fire engine pulled up right in front of where we were playing. They were testing fire hydrants in the area. So we all took the kids over to the fence to get a good look (I knew they'd be happy to turn on the lights and everything). Well, the driver got out with a ton of hats for everyone!!! It totally made our day! Anyone who knows Leki well will be as astounded at this picture as I was. Leki

H-A-T-E-S hats. With a capital H. Always has. He wears this one all the time! I don't know if it was because of the amazing circumstances in which he got the hat or what, but he LOVES this one! (with a capital L). Thanks to all the amazing firefighters!

One final think and I'll be done. Leki has *finally* started potty training! He's been doing really well at peeing in the toilet! I'm thrilled. Emotionally. Mentally. Financially. Thrilled!
